John Noble, who was born in Port Pirie, Australia on August 20, 1948, is 60 years old today. John Noble played Lord Denethor, father of Boromir and Faramir, in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and also appeared in the Australian TV series All Saints. He's also a voice and acting teacher in Sydney.

In the course of calling all the rumors false, he listed Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe as one of the actors who has not yet gotten the role, leading many to believe he is, indeed, in the running for this most sought-after part. | James McAvoy tipped for Hobbit role |
Scottish actor James McAvoy has been tipped to take the lead role in the new movie version of Lord Of The Rings prequel The Hobbit. Director Guillermo del Toro is due to begin filming in New Zealand later this year. I recently atended the museum exhibit of the Lord of the Rings currently going on in Boston MA, and it was a spectacular. I was so impressed with the displays. The workmanship that you see on the DVDs can't be compared to seeing it up close and personal. [more...]
