John Noble, who was born in Port Pirie, Australia on August 20, 1948, is 60 years old today. John Noble played Lord Denethor, father of Boromir and Faramir, in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and also appeared in the Australian TV series All Saints. He's also a voice and acting teacher in Sydney.

Alan Lee, who was born in London, England on August 20, 1947, is 61 years old today. Alan Lee was the conceptual designer for the Lord of the Rings movies. I recently atended the museum exhibit of the Lord of the Rings currently going on in Boston MA, and it was a spectacular. I was so impressed with the displays. The workmanship that you see on the DVDs can't be compared to seeing it up close and personal. [more...]
