To counter their post on the 15 most inspiring teachers in the movies, The Times has now posted the 15 worst, teachers no one would enjoy being taught by. | Harry Potter helps British films take $3.3 billion at box office |
Harry Potter helped the British film industry to reap £1.65 billion at the worldwide box office last year. The figure is up 50 per cent on the previous year and represents 700 million cinema admissions. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was the highest-grossing British film of 2007, taking £470 million ($940 million) worldwide. [more...]

| Harry Potter security catches book thief at Clays |
A production worker at St Ives' book printing arm Clays, has been convicted of theft after stealing copies of various books from a plant in Bungay, Suffolk, where the Harry Potter books are printed, to sell on eBay. He was caught because of the tight security instituted after the theft of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2003. [more...]

| Fans start petition for young actor to be in Order of the Phoenix |
Daniel Hotchkiss has some devoted fans. They've created a fan website about him, and even a petition to get him into the movie of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Daniel mentioned online that he'd love to play Zacharias Smith one day in the movie, and that's when it all started. [more...]
